I'll tumbl for you...

So usually my tumbls (is that a verb) are saddy, written when I’m depressed/lonely/stressed and trying to get it out of my head.

But today’s post is brought to you by the letter grateful and the number very lucky.  Having a drink with a friend tonight, it sunk in that right now I’m in rehearsal for a professional show.  I’m getting paid to do a musical.  Now I know that MSP isn’t exactly the big time here, but I have a good part in a hilariously amazing musical with some really talented colleagues.  And icing on this dream-come-true cake is I’m being directed by a Tony-nominated and Emmy-winning director/choreographer. 

So this might not sound like a huge deal, but come on… I was the girl that couldn’t get cast as a nun in the Sound of Music.  That in high school, desperately wanted an actual libretto/vocal book instead of just sides with the chorus numbers on them.  That auditioned for the honors talent show at CMU twice and got rejected both times.  (I could go on and on with stories like this…)

So basically, I need to remember that I’m doing good, exciting things with my life.  :o)
